How the Recover fee is calculated
Learn when the 20% fee applies and how accepted terms set provider and currency eligibility.
In this guide
Fee on confirmed recovered principal
For an enrolled chargeback covered by your accepted Recover Terms, the Recover fee is exactly 20% of confirmed recovered principal. Confirmation comes from provider records. The accepted terms define the eligible provider and currency scope for your organization and enrollment.
When the Recover fee does not apply
A lost chargeback and a pre-dispute inquiry do not incur a Recover fee. A win alone is not the fee basis; the basis is confirmed recovered principal. Stripe or another provider may charge its own fees under its separate terms.
Subscription billing is separate
Any paid subscription or plan charge is separate from the Recover success fee. A case with no Recover fee does not cancel subscription charges. See the pricing page and your accepted Recover Terms for applicable billing details.
Monthly invoices and reversal credits
For the Stripe workflow, confirmed recovered principal is capped at the disputed amount minus refunds. Resolvely reconciles hourly and sends one itemized monthly invoice, due in 30 days. A later recovery reversal creates a credit on the next invoice; other corrections are billed as the difference. See the worked recovery and reversal example.
